With reference to your letter No. 5 in 5119/1911,
dated 29th. ultimo:-
1.
I have the honour to inform you that it is not intended to dispose of the small area in question, but merely to let it, on such terms as will aduit of resumption when actually required for occupation by the War Department.
2.
The contention, which appears to be made by your letter, that the War Department is not at liberty to let property held by it, without the consent of the Colonial Government, can- -not be agreed to.
